Terms of use & disclaimer
Last updated: 27 September 2026
These terms apply to your use of shy-scene-486b.trglimitedltd.workers.dev, which is run by the independent owner of Simmer & Salt, based in the United Kingdom. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Using the site
The site is free to use for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may print or save recipes for your own use and share links to our pages. Please don't copy, republish or sell our recipes, text or collections in bulk, use them to train or feed automated systems, or scrape the site, without our written permission.
The recipe text, method, page design and site name belong to us unless stated otherwise. Photos are used under the Unsplash Licence and remain the work of the photographers credited on each recipe. If you believe something on the site infringes your rights, email hello@yourdomain.com and we will look into it promptly.
Recipes, allergies and food safety
- Allergens. Recipes may contain or come into contact with common allergens, including cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, soya, milk, tree nuts, celery, mustard, sesame, sulphites, lupin and molluscs. Always check the labels of the products you buy, as recipes and brands vary.
- Diet tags (such as vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free) help you browse and are partly assigned automatically. They are a guide, not a guarantee. For example, some cheeses such as Parmesan are made with animal rennet, and stock or sauces may contain animal products or gluten.
- Nutrition figures are estimates per serving and will vary with the products and portions you use.
- Cooking safely. Cook meat, poultry, fish and eggs thoroughly, following the times and temperatures given and the Food Standards Agency's advice. Take extra care if you are pregnant, elderly, very young or have a weakened immune system, especially with raw or lightly cooked eggs, fish and unpasteurised cheese. Supervise children in the kitchen.
- Not medical advice. Nothing on the site is medical, dietary or nutritional advice. Speak to a doctor or registered dietitian about any health condition, allergy or special diet.
Advertising disclosure
The site is funded by adverts served by Google AdSense, which are clearly separate from our content. We don't write sponsored posts or accept payment for recipes. If that ever changes, or if we use affiliate links, we will label them clearly on the page. Advertisers and linked websites are responsible for their own content and products, and we don't endorse them just because they appear on the site.
Links to other websites
We link to other websites for further information. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Our responsibility to you
We take care to make recipes accurate and clear, but we provide the site "as is" and cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or suitable for your particular needs. Cooking involves heat, sharp tools and food risks, and you are responsible for how you use the recipes.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to this, and because the site is provided free of charge, we are not liable for any indirect loss, or for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland or the EU, you may also bring proceedings in your home courts and you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies whenever you use the site. Questions: hello@yourdomain.com.
